Lily is getting used to the idea that she had magic in this second book in the Dark Elite series. She, Scout, Jason and Michael are patrolling the tunnels when they discover a new creature that is rat-like, has fangs, and leaves a trail of slime. Even the vampires are worried about them. They must be some new trick of the Reapers, but what are the Reapers up to? There is lots of snarky school stuff, some light romance, and cool paranormal adventures in this great middle grade/young adult story.
