Nice urban fantasy about a cat shifter who has run away from home. Kita is having a really bad day. She is attacked by a rogue shifter, turned into a vampire, sentenced to death by a demon judge, and has her sentence delayed to give her a little time to find the rogue shifter. She has to dodge Hunters who target rogue shifters. She has to get used to being a vampire. And she has to become a detective when she is mostly used to being a house cat. Lots of fun dialog and interesting situations in this story.
