Sinda was raised as a princess and future ruler of Thorvaldor. When she finds out at age 16 that she was a false princess brought in to protect the real princess, she is dumbfounded. She is sent away to live with an aunt that never knew she existed and has to make a new life for herself. She has to abandon her life and her best friend Kiernan. She doesn't fit in to village life; her skills are useless there. After the magic in her awakens she returns to the royal city to learn to use it. She stumbles onto a deep-seated plot and needs her friend Kiernan to help her keep it from being successful. The book is filled with magic, danger, adventure and romance. Recommended.
