This was an amazing paranormal romance filled with great characters. Diana is a hereditary witch who has been denying her magic since her parents were killed when she was seven. She is a scholar who studies the history of science. When she calls up a magical book from the depths of the Bodleian Library she starts a string of events that she could not imagine. She meets and falls in love with Matthew Clairmont who is a vampire and another scholar. Together they have to find out what the book conceals and what it means for them and for all witches, vampires, and daemons.
