Lady Donna goes to Beta Colony and comes back as Lord Dono to claim a seat in the Council of counts. Gregor wants to marry Laisa. This is one of my favorite Bujolds. I love the blend of romance, political intrigue and science and love the humor. I also love the way she uses language. Each word is polished like the finest gem.
