Brody Creed is home from his years of wandering. He is happy to be back in Lonesome Bend and working on the ranch with his uncle and his twin brother. He is even building his own fancy new house. But seeing the relationships around him makes him feel even more lonely. He wants a wife and a family. Years ago he had a relationship with Carolyn Simmons but he left her when an old girlfriend called to say she was pregnant. Carolyn, already having abandonment issues because of her childhood in foster care, had her heart broken. Now Brody's back and free and wants to rekindle his relationship with Carolyn. She is less eager. This was a satisfying romance with likable and believable characters.
