This is a paranormal romance set in 1804 England. Voss is a vampire - rich, beautiful, immortal, and hedonistic. Angelica is human but has the gift of Sight. They meet when she comes up to a fellow vampire and companion of Voss's and tells him to avoid bridges because she has seen his death. They disregard the warning but it comes true. Also Voss is drawn to Angelica and she to him. Angelica is also in danger from another vampire because her brother has run off with his sister. Voss needs to protect Angelica from the other vampire and from himself. This is an interesting take on the vampire trope which has men become vampires by invitation of Lucifer to become some sort of army for him. Very nice story and romance. Now I'm eager to read the next episode in this series when Dimitri, who was an important character in this one, hopefully finds his own love and salvation.
