Narcise has been a prisoner of her evil brother Cezar since she became a vampire. Her brother has made her fight for her privacy. If she loses, the winner can do what he wants to her. She has wanted to escape but hasn't been able to. Enter Giordan Cale who falls in love with her and makes her fall in love with him. His attempt to gain her freedom is misinterpreted by her and they part for ten years. Then, Chas enters the scene and does assist Narcise escape. He loves her but hates himself for loving a vampire; she doesn't believe that she can love anyone. Then Giordan enters the picture again. This was a good romance about redemption and the costs and prices it demands.
